Overview
A few weeks ago we ran a feedback survey to get a general sense of how people use SnapMedic and what improvements we could make. This update is a result of that survery and every change has come directly from your feedback.
Shift Tracker
The Shift Tracker picked up most of the asks this time round.
# Favourite shift presets
You can now save your most-used shift times as presets. Tap one to pre-fill start and end times rather than entering them each time. If you work a fairly consistent pattern but can't add a full rota (ie relief) this is perfect for you.

# One-tap day to night swap
We have added a quick swap button that flips a shift from day to night (or back) without editing anything by hand. Useful for last-minute roster changes.
# Linked start and end times
Changing the start time of a shift now shifts the end time with it by the same amount. Previously you had to edit both. If you need them independent, you still can by editing the finish time.
# Rest days are rest days
A long-standing gripe. Days off were sometimes being counted as 24-hour shifts in the GRS sync, which threw off totals and overtime calculations. We now filter rest-day shifts by duration before they hit your log, which also fixes the related issue of GRS sync occasionally overwriting completed shifts. If this continues to happen please let us know on Discord or by email.
Band 6 and supervised hours for NQPs
Newly qualified paramedics have been asking for a way to mark shifts that count toward supervised hours for the NQP portfolio. You can now configure supervised hours and the setup wizard walks you through it. Seperately you can track crewmate skill level per shift.
If you are working through your portfolio, the totals you see should now reflect what is actually claimable.
Exporting
Export to PDF within the shift tracker now exports as a landscape document with customisable sections and columns. You can export just a supervised hours log if required.

# Skills tracking
A lot of feedback described the skill log as unintuitive. The main complaints were the order of the steps and being forced to enter a time on every entry.
New Wizard
A step by step wizard now guides you through loggging skills. We prefill sections for you such as assuming a successful outcome and being unsupervised. Remember to change this so we correctly show progression!
# Mobile selects and dropdowns
We've improved how our dropdowns and selects work on mobile. They now pop up from the bottom of the screen like some other sections of the app. This makes it easier to fill in forms with a single hand.

AI OSCE upgrades
The OSCE feedback was described as hard to read and lacking detail. We have rebuilt the debrief around cards rather than a wall of text. After an OSCE session you now see structured cards for each part of your performance โ communication, clinical reasoning, safety, time management. Each card has a rating, the specific moments it is based on, and what would have taken you up a grade.
UI polish across the board
A theme across the feedback was small papercuts rather than big bugs. We have worked through a pile of these:
- Bigger touch buttons
- Aria-labels on interactive controls for screen reader users
- Buttons now look the same across the app
- Visual tidy-up on the skill log, EPCR and OSCE views
Thanks
If you filled in the last feedback survey, a lot of what you asked for is in this update. Keep the feedback coming via email, discord and our UserJot form.
