Poor signal.

Fields, car parks and village halls lose connection. Clinicians start a record against an incident or job reference and record history, observations, interventions and crew notes offline. Entries save on the device and send when signal returns. The app shows how many changes are waiting.

Several crews.

The clinician who starts a record may not be the one who finishes it. A colleague finds the draft by exact incident reference and joins the same record. Each patient at the incident has a separate record.

Every field says who wrote it. If two people edit one field, the earlier value stays in the history.

Forms that fit your events.

Keep a short event form for the first aid tent and a fuller one for ambulance work. The crew picks the form when they start a record, and you can limit a form to the dates of an event. Medicines come from your formulary, with quantity, unit and route recorded. Treatment and dosing decisions stay with the clinician. ePCR has no dose calculator.

Records to show.

A clinician locks the record deliberately, after seeing any missing required fields and writing a reason to finish with gaps. A locked record is read-only, and anything received later appears as a late entry. If an organiser or commissioner asks how you oversee care, you have attributed, reviewable records.

CQC and events.

Registration with CQC for treatment at events opened on 7 September 2026. Operating unregistered becomes an offence from 6 December 2027.

One price.

Common questions.

Does ePCR work on a site with no signal?

Yes for recording. Clinicians record offline and changes send when connectivity returns. Starting a new record needs a connection. Crews on the same open record see each other's changes within seconds while online.

Can several crews contribute to one patient record?

Yes. A colleague joins the draft by exact incident reference or record ID. Each entry carries its author and time, and the earlier value stays in the record history.

Can we use forms that fit our events?

Yes. You build your own forms in the Console, starting from a SnapMedic Event medical cover template or a blank form. You can keep an event form and an ambulance form side by side, and crews pick one when they start a record. A second person approves each form before it goes live.

Does ePCR register us with CQC?

No. It helps you evidence accurate, complete and contemporaneous records, which CQC expects of registered providers. Registration is your application to CQC. Our CQC page has the dates and a records checklist.
