How is my data encrypted?
SnapMedic uses military-grade AES-256-GCM encryption with zero-knowledge architecture. Your data is encrypted on your device before any synchronization, and only you hold the encryption keys. Not even we can access your data - it's completely private and secure.
Who can access my data?
Only you. SnapMedic employs zero-knowledge encryption, meaning we never have access to your encryption keys or unencrypted data. All patient information, notes, and observations remain completely private to you. Even our servers only store encrypted data that we cannot read.
Is SnapMedic GDPR compliant?
Yes, SnapMedic is fully GDPR compliant. We support all data protection rights including the right to erasure (complete deletion), data portability, transparent processing, and comprehensive audit trails. Our privacy validation system actively scans for and warns about potentially identifiable information.
Can I delete all my data?
Yes, absolutely. You have complete control over your data. Account deletion removes all traces of your information from our systems immediately. There's no retention period - when you delete your data, it's gone permanently from both your devices and our servers.

Does SnapMedic work offline?
Yes, SnapMedic is built with an offline-first architecture. All critical features, calculators, and tools work without any internet connection. Your data is stored locally on your device, and when connectivity is restored, it automatically syncs your encrypted data across devices.
How does multi-device sync work?
Start documenting on your phone during a call and seamlessly continue on your tablet or computer at the station. All data is encrypted on your device before syncing, travels encrypted, and remains encrypted on our servers. Only devices logged into your account can decrypt and access your data.
Where is my data stored?
Your data is primarily stored locally on your device using SQLite. If you enable sync, encrypted copies are stored on secure servers for multi-device access. The local storage ensures you always have access to your tools and data, even without internet connectivity.
Can I export my data?
Yes, SnapMedic supports comprehensive data export. You can export documentation as professional PDFs, and we provide full data portability as required by GDPR. Export your shift data as CSV for payroll, and all your clinical documentation maintains proper formatting for professional use.

Do I need an account to use SnapMedic?
No account is required for basic features. You can use all clinical calculators, assessment tools, and timers without signing up. An account enables multi-device synchronization, data backup, and access to Pro features like GRS Sync for automatic shift imports.
What is SnapMedic Pro?
SnapMedic Pro (£1.99/month) supports the ongoing development of the app while keeping core features free for all healthcare professionals. Pro includes exclusive features like GRS Sync for automatic shift imports. Your subscription directly funds new features and server maintenance.
What's included in Pro?
Pro includes GRS Sync (automatic import from UK ambulance service rosters), priority feature development based on your feedback and direct support for the app's continued development. Core clinical tools remain free for everyone - Pro adds convenience features for power users.
Does one subscription work everywhere?
Yes, one Pro subscription provides access across all your devices - iOS, Android, and Web. Subscribe through the App Store, Google Play, or web (via Stripe), and your Pro features are available everywhere you're logged in. Cancel anytime through your subscription platform.

Is SnapMedic free?
Yes, all essential clinical tools and calculators are completely free and always will be. This includes GCS, NEWS2, burns calculators, cardiac arrest management, clinical observations, and all assessment tools. Pro subscriptions help fund development while keeping core features free for all ambulance staff.
What platforms are supported?
SnapMedic is available on iOS (iPhone and iPad), Android (phones and tablets), and as a Progressive Web App for desktop browsers. The web version provides full functionality including offline support on compatible browsers. All platforms sync seamlessly when logged into your account.
Who makes SnapMedic?
SnapMedic is designed and built by active UK ambulance service paramedics who use the app daily in their practice.
