SnapMedic Ltd is now Cyber Essentials certified. We passed on 6 October 2026, and the certification covers our whole organisation.

Cyber Essentials is the UK Government-recommended cyber security standard, run by the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC). You can check our certificate yourself on the public registry, so you don't have to take our word for it.

Why this matters to us

SnapMedic is used by paramedics, student paramedics, first responders and the teams who support them. People trust us with their learning, their notes and, for organisations, their working data. That trust is the whole point, and we'd rather prove we take it seriously than just say so.

What is Cyber Essentials?

Cyber Essentials is a UK Government-backed scheme that checks an organisation has put the technical controls in place to protect itself against common cyber attacks. It's assessed against five areas:

  • Firewalls: securing our network and devices against unauthorised access
  • Secure configuration: setting up systems safely rather than leaving defaults in place
  • User access control: making sure people only have access to what they need
  • Malware protection: guarding against viruses and malicious software
  • Security update management: keeping software patched and up to date

A growing number of organisations ask their suppliers to be Cyber Essentials certified. If you're a service or organisation looking at SnapMedic, this is one of the questions you can now tick off.

This is the first step, not the last

We're a small team, and we'd rather build our security up properly than all at once. Cyber Essentials is the first certification on our road to more. As we grow, we'll keep working towards further recognised standards, and we'll tell you about each one when we get there.

How we handle your data

Certification sits alongside how we already handle information. Our privacy policy explains what we collect, where it's stored and how long we keep it, and how the personal app, Enterprise and Learning are handled differently. If you're an organisation with specific questions, our organisations page is the place to start, or you can email us at [email protected].

Thank you

Thank you to everyone who uses SnapMedic and trusts us with a small part of your working life. We'll keep earning it. If you'd like to see us put something specific on our road, email us at [email protected].
