Security and data protection
Cyber Essentials certified
- Hosted in London, in ISO 27001-certified data centres
- Backups held securely
- Locked records, full audit trail
- DPA available
One record per patient. Reviewed before it leaves.
Your organisation builds its own forms in the Console, and crews pick the right one when they start a record. The record is stored encrypted on the device and keeps working with no signal. Changes send when the device is back online.
- One record across the crew. A second clinician joins by incident number, and each change shows who made it.
- Review and lock. Gaps must be filled or given a reason. Locking is the crew’s sign-off.
- Hand over with a reference and PIN. The receiving hospital downloads the record from our cases portal without an account.
Tools for
the shift.
Standardise clinical tools across your crews, support newly qualified paramedics through their first months on the road, and give students consistent resources during placement. Everyone works from the same validated, offline-ready tools.
Clinical calculators
Familiar scores, in the managed toolkit your service controls.
- NEWS2
- Record observations and calculate the National Early Warning Score.
- Burns Assessment
- Estimate the extent of a burn.
- Cardiac arrest timer
- Arrest logging with rhythm check alerts, adrenaline cycle tracking and timestamped events, so the team stays in sync during the most critical moments.
- Observations and assessment
- NEWS2 scoring with escalation prompts, plus observation logging. Note assessments quickly on scene.
- Intervention logging
- A temporary intervention notepad for non-identifiable details. It is not for persistent records or patient information; formal patient recording belongs in SnapMedic Enterprise ePCR.
- Clinical handover
- Organise non-identifiable observations and intervention notes into a structured handover. Use Enterprise ePCR for your organisation’s patient records.

Common questions.
Does SnapMedic work offline on ambulances?
Yes. SnapMedic is fully offline-first. All clinical tools, calculators, and the cardiac arrest logger work without any mobile signal. Data is stored locally on the device, making it reliable on scene in rural or low-coverage areas.
Is SnapMedic approved for use on NHS trust devices?
SnapMedic can be deployed on trust-managed iOS and Android devices. We work with ambulance services to support MDM configuration and bulk onboarding. Contact our team to discuss trust-wide deployment.
What clinical tools are included for ambulance crews?
SnapMedic includes 25+ clinical tools for ambulance clinicians: NEWS2 scoring, GCS calculator, cardiac arrest logger with rhythm check alerts, intervention logging with QR handover, METHANE and CSCATTT major incident frameworks, drug references, and shift tracking with GRS sync.
How does the cardiac arrest logger work on shift?
The cardiac arrest logger starts a real-time timer when you arrive on scene. It automatically prompts rhythm checks every 2 minutes, tracks adrenaline cycles for shockable and non-shockable rhythms, and logs all drug administrations with timestamps. A QR code handover can be generated for the receiving crew or hospital.
Does SnapMedic support METHANE and CSCATTT?
Yes. SnapMedic includes structured METHANE and CSCATTT frameworks for major incident management, helping clinicians communicate and document incident information clearly and consistently.
Can we deploy SnapMedic across a whole trust?
SnapMedic Enterprise is a separate organisation-managed app for clinical tools, with optional ePCR patient recording and organisation news and bulletins set up during rollout. Your administrators manage users, enabled tools and permissions. Enterprise with ePCR is £150 a month for up to 50 people, then £3 per person per month from 51 to 150, with volume pricing from £1 per person for larger organisations. Prices exclude VAT where it applies.
