Happy New Year! January has been a busy month as we kicked off 2026 with some exciting new features and continued growth. Let's take a look at what we've been up to.

Growing Our Community

This month we've seen fantastic growth with 1042 new users. We are starting to count users as opposed to downloads as we are now seeing more clinicians syncing their data between devices. It is also a fairer reflection on how many people are using the app as opposed to inflated download numbers.

We rely on a lot of word-of-mouth growth to reach clinicians so please keep sharing.

Ambassador Updates

Our ambassador community continues to grow! We've welcomed more ambassadors this month bringing our total to 116 ambassadors. These dedicated volunteers help test new features, provide feedback, and spread the word about SnapMedic within their networks.

With version 6.2 (released today) we are enabling ambassador signup through the app itself. Which will allow more users to become ambassadors and help us test new features before they are released to the public.

Updates

v5.0 - Intervention & Patient Log Version 5.0 combines our handover, observation and cardiac arrest log features into one powerful Intervention Log. No more writing on gloves or losing bits of paper on scene.

Key highlights:

  • Intervention Log - Record assessments, SAMPLE history, SOCRATES, medications and interventions all in one place
  • Interactive Body Map - Mark injuries on an anatomical diagram with a simple tap
  • Integrated Cardiac Arrest Logging - Start an arrest within an encounter with audio alerts for rhythm checks and adrenaline cycles
  • Medication Search - Search UK medication databases with links to BNF and NHS sources, works offline
  • QR Code Sharing - Generate encrypted share links for instant handover to receiving crews
  • Role-Based Filtering - Set your clinical role and see only the tools relevant to your scope of practice
  • Primary Survey Aide - Step-by-step guide perfect for first aiders and community responders

See more about this update here.

v6.2 - Improvements We're releasing this update as we wrap up January, which includes a large number of quality of life improvements and fixes.

Key highlights:

  • Handover Aide - The handover aide is back with an improved design and feel
  • Live Updates - We now have the ability to push updates to the app itself which will allow us to rapidly add new features and fixes rather than waiting days at a time.
  • Ambassador Signup - We are now enabling ambassador signup through the app itself which will allow more users to become ambassadors and help us test new features before they are released to the public.

This update has been released on Android as of the 2nd of February and will be released on iOS in the coming days.

Community Spotlight

We've had some brilliant feedback from the community this month:

"This app is taking off in the UK prehospital sphere and it's easy to see why. - Works beautifully well, in the age where tech is dominated by slop this is a smooth-functioning and user-friendly experience. - Looks crisp, smooth and professional. - Has been built from the ground up by a professional paramedic and it SHOWS. - Frequently being updated and improved. - A genuinely helpful tool that will be useful in paramedics' hands. Nothing I can say about this app justifies less than 5 stars." — Benjamin B, Android Reviewer

Thank you to everyone who has sent in feedback and suggestions, they really do help shape the app. We have been adding lots of features to our todo list this month based on feedback from users so please keep them coming here.

What's Next?

We have some exciting features in development for the coming months:

# Organisation Support

We are piloting the ability for organisations to sign up for a version of Pro on behalf of all their staff. This will allow organisations to customise the app for their own needs as well as gain access to new features exclusive to organisations.

Features are likely to include:

  • Adding custom aides and pages
  • Adding your own logo and branding
  • User management and permissions

If you are interested in this, please email [email protected] and we are happy to book in a meeting to discuss your business needs. We will be piloting this with a small number of organisations in the coming months.

# Wellbeing Tools

We are working on a range of tools and aides to support crew wellbeing and stress management. This will include:

  • Stress management tools
  • Mental health support
  • Wellbeing resources
  • Post-incident support guides

We are looking at working with the various wellbeing charities and other organisations to get this right and to ensure we are providing the best experience for our users. If you have any recommendations of organisations or features we should be working with or adding, please email [email protected].

Thank you

SnapMedic would not be here without the support of users and our community over the past few months. We have been gaining momentum since we started in the middle of last year and we are hoping this year will be even better.
